Hey there!
You’re reading my newsletter — a once-in-a-while update about my fun and upcoming going-ons. You can expect bonus content, behind the scenes info about my books, and beta/ARC opportunities. I intend to pack each email with enough information to tie you over until next time — intentionally, beautifully, and (hopefully) never spammy. Let’s dive in.

THE BOOK: A GATHERING OF CLAWS
So I Published A Book…
I am still completely and utterly in shock at how many people came together to tag me on social media, leave reviews everywhere (including amazon, goodreads, fable, and more!), and support my very first book release.
My heart is still so incredibly full from that day, that I’m struggling to form words. All I can say is… thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whether it was someone liking a comment, making a post, ranting and raving about my book, or creating full videos to post, it truly meant (and means!) the world to me.
Maybe it’s cliche to say, but without you guys, I’m just some random girl doing this because she loves it. You inject magic into this and turn it into something more—something special. I can’t wait to see what else will happen in the future!
I Still Can’t Believe This Happened
I ended up with 10 preorders, and at least one (maybe two!) people read the entire book start to finish through KU on the very first day!
Also, we broke so many typical ARC feedback averages with 28% of you rating my book (!!!!!). I’ve tallied up all my ratings across all platforms, and it looks like we’re sitting at an average of 4.29 / 5.
I know that will change as time goes on, but I wanted to deliver stats, and thems the numbers!
We broke 2k page reads in the first week my book was published, which is WILD! Woohoo!! And as of this moment, I haven’t had a single day with zero KU page reads! 🤯
Finally, you guys blew me out of the water with 91% of people who left feedback on my book leaving both a rating and a review! 🥹 Thank you!
Are Paperbacks Coming???
Yes! I can now say confidently that paperbacks are coming, but not yet. Wait… let me explain.
As soon as I published my eBook, I realized that I wanted the paperback to feel special. Umbraeth—the name of the realm in the Starforged Chronicles 😉—is a special place, and I wanted to make sure you felt like you were there the second you opened the first page! I’ve been working really hard behind the scenes on some things that I cannot wait to share with you, and I’m estimating paperback release sometime around either late November or early December!
Be sure to keep an eye out on my socials for an announcement. 🫶
Debut Pain Points
While a lot of things went really, really well, I wanted to address the elephant in the room: I had serious issues distributing my ARC.
If you were one of the people who experienced this, I want to apologize—yet again—because it was not intentional and I hated that it didn’t go smoothly.
BUT, It was honestly more embarrassing than frustrating. I take everything in stride and don’t really get annoyed with stuff like this, but email providers marked my ARC emails as spam, and way more people than I would have liked let me know their email never arrived.
In the future, I will be distributing ARCs with Bookfunnel (unless a better software pops up between now and book 2 ARCs), and I hope we can all laugh this one off and never do it this way again. 😅😩
Am I working on anything else?
Why yes, I am. Thank you for asking. While I expect book two of Starforged Chronicles to be out before a completely separate standalone, I’m hoping I can get them both out in 2026! That’s my goal, anyway.
But… I’ll be the first to admit my goals are lofty. I’ve never written a Dark Gothic Paranormal Romance novel, but I’ve actually been sitting on this idea since before A Gathering of Claws existed. For now, all I can say is… I’m aiming for Nocticadia meets Enchantra, but with a dash of Onyx Storm.
A missing sister.
A family curse.
A university built to claim them all.

Concord Grape Pie

In honor of concord grapes being plentiful right now, I’ve decided to embark on a true adventure—Concord Grape Pie. While I’ve never made it before, I have eaten it, and it’s incredible.
Unfortunately I come bearing bad news… apparently it’s a labor of love to make it. I’ve already bought my grapes, so if you want to go on this journey together, here’s the link to the recipe I’ll be using! https://homeinthefingerlakes.com/concord-grape-pie/
